Welcome to the Laboratory of Phylogenetics and Biochronology at the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology UB RAS, Ekaterinburg, Russia

We undertake research into the ecological processes that shape patterns of faunal biodiversity variation and evolution on the actual, historical and geological time scales within the last 2.6 million years. We combine tools and resources from genetics, morphology, population and community ecology, and paleontology in order to reconstruct the history of present-day diversity of continental fauna in the central part of Northern Eurasia.
